                             Hunting Day FAQs

Can I bring along a spectator?

Sorry there is a charge for every spectator, usually 50% of the total experience cost. The reason we charge for spectators is that we are a private school with limited spaces each day, each fee paying spectator is booked on a session taking a full place, ensuring small, intimate groups and maximizing your time with both birds and instructors. If you would like to bring along a spectator, please ensure a placed is booked for them at your time of booking

What should I wear?

On the “Phoenix Experience”, “Falconry Lesson” and “Family Encounter” you will be based around our reception facility, so comfortable waterproof shoes or boots and a light warm jacket should suffice! On any of our hunting activities you will be walking over sometimes rough terrain, so wellies or stout walking boots and layered clothing are advised. Please remember that any form of fur (artificial or otherwise) on your clothing may be deemed by our birds to be edible, please do not be offended if you are asked to remove such items for your own safety.

Do I need to bring along sandwiches?

We supply drinks (both hot and cold) as well as biscuits to all of our guests, and our full day experience does include a pub lunch. What happens if I am late? Normally, most people arrive 15 minutes before their booked session, to get a coffee or use our facilities. In event of a late arrival you will be asked to join the daily group, but please remember that any experience, information missed will not be re-iterated.
