As busy working falconers, we came up with the concept of this extremely popular session over 20 years ago! Our birds need careful daily training and exercise, and each day more and more “passers -by” and “hangers- on” appeared at our facility intrigued by what they saw and learned. Eventually our most popular session of what was originally called “Meet the Birds” was born.

Its popularity has meant that nearly every small falconry centre in the country now runs a session with the same name, whilst the content is rarely the same! In our session you will be handling a flying a large selection of our well trained rare or unusual Raptors from around the world, from the bizarre to the ridiculous, giving you a unique glimpse and insight into the lives of these fascinating and ancient predators.

You will learn about their place in the food chain, their application by man to provide food for the table and their unique adaptations in nature to perform their individual crucial roles, their reproduction and their individual psychologies. Each daily session will be taught by a graduate level professional instructor ensuring you get the absolute benefit of their experience, knowledge and most importantly of all, enthusiasm.

Representing exceptional value for money, we recommend that book your experience today! Because of the level of education and the physical size of some of the species encountered on this session we deem it unsuitable for children under the age of 14 yrs.

Durations: 3-3 1/2 hrs

Walking is minimal on this session and it is particularly suitable for disabled participants at our single level disabled facilities.
